This is an exciting year for the SDRC! We are currently seeking SDRC members who are interested in helping us build a Board of Directors Team that will provide effective support for our rapidly growing membership and respond effectively to our expanding community outreach support opportunities. If you are interested in working with the Board, we would love to hear from you. Please send me an email describing how you would like to be involved in our future activities, a brief description of your relevant skills, and ideas you may have for our future growth. We will review your email prior to our Board meeting on June 10 and contact you before we post our results on this website.

The SDRC is committed to the art of Reiki and to its infinite possibilities for healing. We join together to educate, support, and share ourselves and others in the ways of self-mastery through this particular practice. We support the evolution of our Reiki community with professional enthusiasm, mutual respect, and personal trust. We are dedicated to the personal growth and benefit of all our members, all our clients, and all who come to share their healing journey and Reiki with us.
We encourage our members to have Usui Reiki as a foundation for their Reiki practice in order to help assure uniformity and consistency in our Reiki treatments and client contacts. We also welcome other Reiki forms as additions to what we honor as the original and most fundamental Reiki practice.
What is Reiki?
Reiki - (ray-key) is a process of energy transference from the universal source to an individual. Practitioners are individuals dedicated with intent to be a conduit for this energy and have undergone a series of attunements as preparation. Reiki is unconditional, demands nothing of either the giver or receiver, and requires no specific belief system to be effective. This energy brings the body, mind and spirit into balance promoting good health.
